Nowadays our nails undergo great risk. We know that anatomically our fingernails and toenails are made of a tough protein called keratin. Consequently, nails can dry out, just like skin. They can also peel, break and be infected. In order to avoid cracked or chipped nails we should take good care of them.
Certainly, there are many nail supply products that we need to keep our nails healthy and beautiful.
However let’s not forget that nail tools, used by different people, may transmit infections. Nail tools such as files, if shared, may spread nail fungi, staph bacteria or viruses. In fact, research has shown that over 100 bacterial skin infections in 2000 were traced to footbaths in nail salons.
A lot of women wear acrylic nails. As a matter of fact, acrylic nails are safe and will hardly harm natural nails. By the way, let’s not shut our eyes to the fact that sometimes those who wear acrylic nails may notice a slight discoloration or coarsening of their natural nails. A more serious problem that may result from acrylic nails is infection. The key to preventing infection and nail damage due to artificial nails is to choose a reputable, licensed nail salon.
As for gel nails, they are also in great demand nowadays. Once, you start using gel nails or any type of artificial nails, it will become a routine, just like coloring your hair. However, gel nails do little damage to our natural nails when applied and removed correctly.
Today many nail salons use OPI nail polish. It’s great for both natural and artificial nails. OPI polish comes in many different types and many magnificent colors, such as orange, peach, pink, purple, red and rose. Beautiful nails attract attention like stylish make-up and hair. So take care of your nails and display them proudly.
