Fashion master Christian Dior is relaunching the original collection, Rouge Dior Lipstick, 51 years after it was originally introduced. Marie Claire reports that in 1955, upon the introduction of his Rouge Dior lipstick, Dior famously declared red “the color of life.”

Well, leave it to the Americans to rebel against such Old Europe absolutism: 51 years later, Dior is relaunching the original collection, complete with iconic navy geometric case, while introducing four new pink and beige hues-available only in the U.S. due to “popular demand” by Yankee customers.
