Mulberry Debuts New Footwear Collection
Handbag and apparel company, Mulberry, will debut a new footwear collection on 14 February during London Fashion Week.
Because of his impeccable design background, Mulberry will work with Jonathan Kelsey for the new project. Kelsey previously designed shoes for top labels such as Jimmy Choo, Luella, Cacharel, and Giles Deacon.
Second City Style reports that Kelsey has created a capsule collection of five styles for fall.
Kelsey has designed a riding boot, an ankle boot, a shoe-boot, a pump and a flat shoe. The collaboration is currently slated for two seasons. Kelsey worked at Jimmy Choo before unveiling his self-labeled brand last year.
The Fashion Row quotes Lisa Montague at Mulberry.
Footwear has always been part of our business plan. We loved Jonathan’s Autumn / Winter 2007 Collection and thought his energy and design ethos he would be an excellent fit for our brand. We are currently committed to Autumn / Winter 2008 and Spring / Summer 2009; and if this goes well, we’d like to further develop footwear in the future
