Angelina Jolie Actress Angelina Jolie is in negotiations with Coty, a French fragrance house, for launching her personal fragrance line. Jolie plans to give her collection a name that will best describe her persona.

Celeb Guru reports that Jolie will be the next celebrity to launch a fragrance with Coty after Sarah Jessica Parker.

Angelina Jolie recently parted ways with fashion house St.John ending her three-year stint with them. Not the kind to brood, St.John has replaced Jolie with four upcoming models and Jolie, in turn, has now decided to to put out her own line of fragrances with Coty, a French fragrance house.

According to the Improper, given Jolie’s unrivaled star power today, it’s likely her fragrances will rake in tons of cash.

The venture would enable Jolie to continue supporting her many charitable causes. Jolie, 33, is a U.N. Ambassador who reportedly donates one-third of her income to charity.

A source is quoted telling the British newspaper,The Mail.

“Angelina wants a very strong input. She wouldn’t want a fragrance that she didn’t feel encapsulates her.”

Antonio Banderas Launches Blue Seduction For Women

Blue Seduction Actor Antonio Banderas is launching a new fragrance, called “Blue Seduction For Women,” which is the actor’s fifth fragrance launched exclusively for women so far. Blue Seduction For Women is set to hit beauty stores nationwide in the beginning of September.

GlamBoulevard reports that the actor has described the fragrance as the scent in his line that most suits his persona.

Antonio Banderas wants to seduce you. Slated to hit shelves in September, Antonio Banderas launches his 5th fragrance, a women’s version of his Blue Seduction scent, called Blue Seduction for Women. Perfume maker Puig Beauty U.S.A, is hoping the line will be as successful as his past fragrances, each ranking top 10 in mass stores.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, during their launch years, each Banderas fragrance has ranked among the top 10 in mass stores.

The latest introduction closely copies the nuances of the bottle for the men’s Blue Seduction. The glass bottle is transparent and is designed to resemble the reflection of light on water — an effect achieved, thanks to a sculpted base designed to resemble a mosaic tile.

Pricing is in line with other Banderas scents — $21.50 for the 1-oz. eau de toilette spray and $30 for the 1.7-oz.

Anne Hathaway Unveils Magnifique Fragrance

Hathaway As the new Lancome fragrance girl and ambassador, Anne Hathaway has unveiled the new Lancome fragrance, Magnifique, this week in France.The new fragrance has a woodsy scent with hints of florals and will be available for sale this summer.

GlamBoulevard reports that the well liked and well perceived 25 year old Hathaway has recently appeared in high profile events such as Valentino’s 45th Anniversary bash in Rome, Giorgo Armani’s Couture Show in Paris, opening of the D&G Madison Avenue flagship, and more.

Anne Hathaway has joined the Lancome team in January for the brand’s new feminine line. President of Lancome International Odile Roujol is confident that Anne will successfully portray the passion and excitement of their new fragrance. Anne will be joining fellow ambassadors Kate Winslet and Clive Owen.

According to The Beauty Alchemist, wearing a strapless Kaufman France dress, Hathaway looked totally stunning, graceful and elegant.

She is really becoming a real fashion pro. I am anxious to see what she wears to the Get Smart premiere. The new perfume bottle looks rather nice too.

MC The Sex and the City Girls have been photographed to cover the July issue of US Marie Claire. However, it is reported that only the Sarah Jessica Parker’s covered issue will be available for sale in newsstands next month.

SASSYBELLA.com reports that it was unveiled via an eBay auction featuring Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover with the co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon sharing separate inside covers.

There are currently no bids but with a few days before bidding ends on June 9, you still time to score all the copies. Word is that only Sarah Jessica Parker’s cover is set to hit newsstands, so if you’re a Marie Claire subscriber you had better be crossing your fingers you get a copy of the magazine with one of the other girls on it. Unless you’re happy with your favorite SATC character relegated to the inside pages of the magazine.

According to Catwalk Queen, inside the mag, Davis shares her struggle with alcoholism, in which she reveals that she didn’t think she’d live past 30.

“I drank a lot when I was a teenager and I don’t drink any more, because that’s when I thought, you know, I’m gonna end up a car wreck. I just had a fatalistic view of the whole situation at that point,” she said.

Avril Lavigne To Launch Personal Fragrance

Lavigne Pop rocker Avril Lavigne has teamed up with Procter & Gamble to launch a new personal fragrance line. According to Procter & Gamble Prestige Products’ announcement, the new line will be available for the second half of 2009.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Lavigne joins a group of existing, youth-oriented fragrance licenses in Procter & Gamble Prestige Products’ point-of-market-entry brand portfolio, which the company spent the past three years rejuvenating.

Key activity last year included acquiring fragrance licenses for Puma, Christina Aguilera and Italian jeans brand Replay, and divesting eau de cologne line 4711, which was acquired by Mäurer + Wirtz.

The singer is quoted commenting on her new line.

“Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone,” Lavigne said.

Lavigne is the latest in a long line of celebrities to release their own fragrance. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Kate Moss have all successfully created their own scents. The Beauty Blog wishes Lavigne best of luck.

LopezSinger-actress Jennifer Lopez is launching her first men’s fragrance, “Deseo For Men,” which is a counterpart to “Deseo for Women” launched last September. Lopez’s new fragrance “Deseo For Men” is set to release this September.

Jlostalker.com reports that it takes a fragrance about two years to create, and that’s what J-Lo really wanted to show on her TLC program.

Well, we knew she couldn’t just sit at home with her feet up. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Jennifer Lopez is launching a new men’s fragrance in September. This may be the fragrance behind all those crazy reality show rumors.

According to Beyond Beauty Basics, Deseo for Men will be available in an eau de toilette in a 1.7 oz for $45 and a 3.4 oz for $55. There will also be an aftershave balm in a 3.4 oz for $40 and a 2.4 oz deodorant for $16.

Beyond Beautiful Jennifer Lopez quotes the singer commenting on her new fragrance.

“I wanted to capture the intimate and personal nature of a man who is sexy, yet strong,” Lopez said.

Calvin Klein Calvin Klein is launching a new fragrance with the name Secret Obsession. The print campaign for this fragrance is set to debut in September, which will star Eva Mendes.

FASHIONRATTY reports that industry sources estimated that Secret Obsession could do upward of $120 million at retail globally in its first year on counter.

Secret Obsession, by Givaudan and Ann Gottlieb, has top notes of exotic plum, mace and rose de damas; a heart of Egyptian jasmine, French orange flower and tuberose, and base notes of cashmere woods, burnt amber, Madagascan vanilla and Australian sandalwood.

New York Fashion quotes Lori Singer, the vice president of global marketing for the brand at Coty Prestige, commenting on this new fragrance and Mendes’s expected role for the campaign.

“It’s somewhat up to interpretation — because of how it’s shot, and what you see and hear, and what you can’t see and hear. You hear her voice, talking about having a sexy secret,” Singer said.

Josh Hartnett New Face of Armani Diamonds For Men

JoshHollywood actor Josh Hartnett is the new face of Armani Diamonds fragrance For Men. Hartnett is set to be unveiled as the spokesperson of the Italian fashion house’s fragrance in a ceremony during Milan’s Spring / Summer fashion week some time next year.

According to Beauty Blabber, the firm’s beauty division signed Hartnett as the face of its new scent last Tuesday.

Thanks to People.com, Armani is quoted commenting on Hartnett’s abilities and role in creating this new fragrance.

“Both on and off screen he has a charm and charisma that is magnetic. His individuality, allure and nonchalant way of being are all qualities which inspired me in the creation of this new fragrance.”

Audrey Tautou New Face of Channel No. 5

AudreyChannel has chosen French actress Audrey Tautou to star in the leading role for advertising the famous No.5 perfume next year.

Makeup Buzz reports that Tautou will partner with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Following the films “Amelie” and “The Long Engagment,” this will be the third collaboration between Audrey Tautou and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Once again CHANEL has commissioned a director and his muse to write a new page in the love story between the cinema and No.5.

According to Daily Obsession, Tautou will replace Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman.

Chanel will be partnering with director Jean-Pierre Jeunet for their next No. 5 film, whom Ms. Tatou has also worked with in A Very Long Engagement and Amelie, one of our favorite films ever! We ADORE the elegance of Chanel ads, and they are always memorable. You can be sure that we’ll be keeping our eyes out for the new No. 5 film in 2009.

Jude Law — Christian Dior New Face

Jude LawActor Jude Law is the new ambassador for Christian Dior Fragrance. Even though Law will be featured in worldwide advertisements, he will be replaced by a male model for adverts in Britain and the United States.

The Newspaper reports that Law will be fronting the campaign for Dior’s latest scents.

Jude Law could be the latest actor to turn his attention to modelling, following rumours that he will star as the new face of Christian Dior fragrance.Although Law will represent the new scent worldwide, it is believed that a male model will replace him in the advertisements for Britain and the States.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Law will be fronting for other luxury products as well; for LVMH Moët Hennessy, Louis Vuitton and for Parfum Dior’s parent.

(In the U.S. and U.K., it is believed a male model will replace him in the scent’s advertising.) Dior executives could not be reached for comment.

The date of release for this new perfume is yet to be announced.
