Lisa Hoffman, wife of actor Dustin Hoffman and the creator of Lisa Hoffman Skincare and Fragrance, has created a new fragrance collection.

The Lisa Hoffman Variations Fragrance Collection has featured four precious pulse points oils designed to compliment a women’s changing olfactive sensitivities throughout the day: The Morning Variant, The Daytime Variant, The Evening Variant, and The Bedtime Variant.

With four variations of the same fragrance (morning, daytime, evening and bedtime) your scent can change along with your mood throughout the day. And your nose will find the other versions of the scent equally appealing if applied at the time of day they were created for.

On Lisa Hoffman’s site, Hoffman encourages women to buy her collection.

If you peruse our collection, what you will find is an array of beauty products that represent some of the most advanced formulas that science and nature have to offer, contained in packaging that makes the various regimens easy to follow and convenient to carry.

The bloggers behind Makeup Bag have already bought this new collection.

Since the fragrance oils are not sold individually, and there was no way we could live without this enchanting scent, we purchased the set for $150 and walked away a very happy woman. Each variation of this scent is perfect and we love them all equally.

We wish best of luck to Hoffman and her new collection!

Alizee Poulicek Crowned Miss Belgium Amidst Scandal

It turns out that 20-year-old Miss Belgium, Alizee Poulicek, has been booed by a live audience in Antwerp, the heart of Dutch-speaking Flanders, when she admitted that she could not speak the local regional language. The fact that Poulicek comes from the country’s French-speaking region and couldn’t say a word in Dutch has taken on larger significance among Flemish journalists.

According to Outside the Beltway, the Flemish community accounts for 60 percent of Belgium’s 10.5 million people.

In a country already torn over the Flemish-French conflict that’s derailed the government for months, the issue of language has turned into conflict. Even though it is said that the incident did not hurt Poulicek’s image with television viewers who voted for her, Flemish journalists assailed her with questions at a press conference, highlighting her deficiencies in their tongue.

Celebrity Hit quotes the organizer of Miss Belgium contest, Darlene Devos:

“I don’t worry about this too much. It is the least painful thing. I would consider it different if they had said ‘Miss Belgium is an ugly girl.’”

Unlike Devos, Poulicek seems upset and concerned about this scandal.

“I have to try, learn more. I spoke almost no Dutch when I started this adventure,” Poulicek said.

If the Flemish are hiring American Idol performers to perform at their pageants, I don’t think that not knowing Dutch is such a “big-big deal” anyway. On the other hand, I’m not Belgian.

Gucci Westman Cocludes Her Role At Lancome

Gucci WestmanGucci Westman’s association with Lancôme has come to an end and that she will conclude her role as International Artistic Director. Westman joined the brand in 2003 and her first color collection, French Riviera, debuted in Spring 2005. During her time with Lancôme, Westman she created eight color collections and her final two collaborations will be in Spring 2008. They are L.U.C.I. Color Collection and the Thakoon Pout-á-Porter lipstick.

Eye4Style reports that Westman’s role was incredibly vital for Lancome.

Westman is widely considered to have breathed new life into the Lancôme brand during her four year tenure, introducing innovative and young products like the Destiny Cube and Pout-a-Porter lipstick series.

The bloggers behind MakeUp Bag seem disappointed in not seeing Westman at the shows in this spring.

Watching Gucci Westman work backstage at NY Fashion Week was such a treat for us—her touch is incredibly light and her work is amazing.

Unlike her fans, Westman seems to be happy about her recent move.

“My time with Lancôme has been wonderful. It was an incredible learning experience being with a brand of this caliber, and I’d like to thank the Lancôme team for the opportunities and friendship they extended to me,” Westman said.

Considering all her success and fame, I wonder if Westman will cook up her own line one day!

Soccer player David Beckham is now working with his good friend, Giorgio Armani, and is reportedly in talks over the company’s plans to launch a new collection of Emporio male underwear. The full advertising campaign will debut in the February 2008 issue of Vanity Fair and later in other magazines as well as on billboards in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Milan, Rome, Paris and Tokyo.
Best Celeb Gossip reports
that the deal will be worth £ 20 million pounds plus royalties.

The company appreciates Beckham’s talents.

“David is truly a modern day icon in that his fame extends well beyond the realm of soccer. He is considered as one of the world’s most talented soccer players and a former captain of his national team, but his image has come to stand for more than this. He represents a notion of modern masculinity: as a sports hero, husband and father. He is also a man with a great sense of style,” Armani says.

Beckham seems to feel truly honored by the opportunity to work with Armani.

“I first met Mr. Armani quite a few years ago while I was working with the England team when he designed our World Cup suit. I’ve been a big fan of his style for a long time and, through the years, my wife and I have become friends with him, so I’m happy to be working with him now. For me Giorgio Armani is a man who has been at the top of his game for more than thirty years.”

Gyms Are Changing Their Mission

admin | Beauty News, Body Art, Cosmetics, General, Glamor, Perfumes, fitness centers | Thursday, 06 December 2007

fitness clubMore and more people claim nowadays that there is a growing tendency among women, “To treat gyms more as singles’ clubs, rather than fitness gyms.”

Abcnews claims that even some women athletes consider it normal. Both Serena Williams and Katie Holmes always exercise in full glamour mode.

There is also a medical explanation regarding this issue. David Goldberg, the director of Skin Laser and Surgery Specialists in New York and New Jersey claims that sport and cosmetics don’t fit together at all. Goldberg gives his recommendations as well.

“My recommendation is not to wear makeup.”

“We see more breakouts and skin problems because of this,” says Goldberg.

The Beauty Blabber attempts to find a solution for this issue. It recommends those who think of wearing makeup in fitness centers to use at least natural cosmetics.

If you still feel compelled to wear makeup when you work out, I would have to recommend using only natural and organic cosmetics.

Which statement is true depends only on us, women!
