The National Cosmetology Association (NCA), has opened a new competition, the HairWorld Championships of Beauty in Chicago. Top hairdressers from around the world will gather in Chicago from 1-3 March 2008, for the OMC HairWorld Championships of Beauty.
OMC, the organizer of the championship, is the world’s biggest beauty organization, with over 60 member countries and 500,000 salon owners worldwide. Better known as the “Olympics of Hair,” the 2008 OMC HairWorld Championships of Beauty will draw more than 1,000 competitors and teams representing at least 50 countries. The OMC HairWorld Championship Arena will be the setting of the thrilling three-day competitions, which include contests in hair, nails and makeup. Many of them are said to offer separate awards for “seniors” (licensed professionals) and juniors (professionals and students under the age of 25).
The OMC World President Salvatore Fodera shares his thoughts about this new championship:
“I believe OMC will elevate the professional salon industry: by promoting OMC HairWorld as a unique experience.”
All possible attendants should register online on America’s Beauty Show website.
