Gucci Westman Revlon’s New Artistic Director

Gucci WestmanMakeup artist Gucci Westman is joining Revlon Inc. as the company’s new global artistic director. In her new role, Westman will be involved with the company’s philanthropic activities, will provide the company with expertise and will work with Revlon’s leading global brand ambassadors.

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Westman has held a similar position at Lancome for over four years.

Revlon has named Gucci Westman as the brand’s new global artistic director. Westman last held a similar position at Lancôme as international artistic director from 2003 through last December.

According to Special Chem, Westman has donated more than $65 million for research, counseling and outreach programs to support women’s health.

Gucci has worked on both commercial and film projects and has created some of the most memorable cover looks for the top fashion magazines. She travels the globe in search of new products and shade trends. Gucci is married to Rag & Bone designer David Neville and they have one son.

Skin Care & Beauty Blog quotes David Kennedy, the President and CEO of Revlon Inc., commenting on Westman’s new role.

“Gucci brings tremendous talent and insight on trends in makeup and fashion to Revlon. We are all looking forward to working closely with her.”

In her turn, Westman is quoted as saying.

” I am excited to join the Revlon Family. Revlon is a leader in bringing innovation and on-trend products reflecting modern glamour to women around the world. I am also very proud to work with a company that has done so much for the advancement of women’s health and in particular, in fighting women’s cancers.”
