Two parent companies belonging to Shawn Corey Carter, otherwise known as rapper “Jay-Z,” Rocawear and Iconix Brand Group, have signed a contract with Elizabeth Arden to produce a makeup line.

This is the same cosmetics makeup company that brought consumers the Mariah Carey and Britney Spears perfume lines. A new fragrance is planned to launch in the fall of 2008. The new cosmetic skin care products and fragrances will be both for men and women.

According to Make Her Up, the British newspaper Daily Star reports:

“It is a really cool time for Jay-Z working with Elizabeth Arden and he is delighted about it.”

The rapper seems to have high expectations from this new deal.

“We are excited to partner with an industry giant such as Elizabeth Arden. The combination of their expertise in fragrance and our ability to affect popular culture will produce some incredible products and breathe excitement into the category,” “Jay Z” said.
